CLEAR DIFFERENTIATOR

SPEED
Respond within 12 hours instead of weeks from other services

TAILORED TO YOU
Peer support & personal connection compared to formal therapy only

CONSISTENCY
Early intervention and regular check-ins compared to isolation until crisis.

YOU ARE OUR WORLD
Culturally aware and community built breaking past the one-size-fits-all.

RIGHT AT HOME
We make you feel right at home and care for you, not what works for us.

HUMAN
Human first, backed by clinical standards compared to clinical first approaches from others
How we work
OUR APPROACH
We know how it feels to be let down by systems that weren’t made for us.
That’s why NOSIV is built differently — with human-first design, trauma-aware practice, and fast response at its core.
At NOSIV, we don’t wait for someone to fall apart before offering help.
We listen early, reply fast, and walk with people before the crisis hits.
We keep it simple, but strong:
-
🤝 Lived-experience support through our Buddy System
-
📦 Accessible tools anyone can use on their own
-
🧠 Professional guidance behind the scenes
-
🫂 Community care that doesn’t shame or isolate
-
🚪 Pathways into therapy — when and if someone’s ready

How we work
HOW THE BUDDY SYSTEM WORKS
-
You fill in a quick, no-pressure form.
-
Within 12 hours, we match you with a NOSIV Buddy — someone trained in trauma-aware communication, peer support, and boundaries.
-
You choose how and when you connect (text, call, voice notes).
-
You’re not alone anymore.
-
All buddies receive:
-
🛡️ NOSIV Peer Support Training
-
🧠 Trauma & Safeguarding Guidance
-
📞 On-call team support if anything escalates
If a crisis emerges, we step in fast with structured protocols — no one is left to navigate alone.

How we work
HOW WE KEEP PEOPLE SAFE
We protect as much as we support.
Every part of NOSIV is designed to create safety without control or judgement.
-
🔐 Private & encrypted buddy communication
-
🧠 Trauma-informed volunteer training
-
🚨 Crisis escalation protocol (low, moderate, high distress levels)
-
🧾 Safeguarding policy aligned to UKCP, BACP & NHS guidelines
-
💬 Moderated community spaces (rules, boundaries, respect)
We’re not professionals pretending to be something we’re not.
But we do work with professionals who help us build our systems right.

How we work
HOW WE STAY GROUNDED IN ETHICS
We’ve built NOSIV with guidance from:
-
The NHS Mental Health Support Framework
-
UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy)
-
BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)
-
That means:
-
We consult with licensed therapists on our content
-
We design our toolbox around proven coping methods
-
We take safeguarding and mental health risk seriously — and act accordingly
When someone is ready to move from peer support to clinical therapy, we help guide that transition with warmth and care.
